SMS Consent — Nova Neuro Patient Texts

This page documents how patients of Nova Neuro (a neurology practice operated by NOVANEURO VINDICTADIAGNOSTICS LLC) give consent to receive text messages, so that the opt-in experience can be reviewed and verified.

Program Summary

Nova Neuro sends only transactional, care-related text messages — appointment scheduling, appointment confirmations and reminders, telehealth (video visit) links, and care coordination. We do not send marketing or promotional texts. Patients are first contacted by phone, and text messages are sent only after the patient has opted in.

  • Message frequency varies based on the patient's care and appointments.
  • Message and data rates may apply depending on the patient's mobile plan.
  • Reply STOP to opt out at any time; reply HELP for help.
  • Mobile numbers and consent information are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

How Patients Opt In

1. Verbal consent during a phone call or registration

During an inbound or outbound phone call (or in-office/phone registration), a Nova Neuro staff member reads the following disclosure and records the patient's mobile number and consent in our system before any text is sent:

"As part of your care with Nova Neuro, we'd like to send you text messages about appointment scheduling, confirmations, reminders, telehealth links, and care coordination. These are not marketing messages. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. May we have your consent to send these texts to your mobile number? You can reply STOP at any time to opt out, or HELP for help. Our Terms and Privacy Policy are at nova-neuro.com/terms and nova-neuro.com/privacy."

The patient must affirmatively agree ("yes") for consent to be recorded. Consent is logged with the date and the staff member who obtained it. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of receiving care.

2. Opt in by text keyword

A patient may also opt in by texting START to our practice number. After opting in, the patient receives this one-time confirmation:

"Nova Neuro: You're opted in to appointment & care-coordination texts. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out."

Opting Out and Help

Patients can reply STOP to any message to opt out, and will receive a single confirmation that no further texts will be sent. Patients can reply HELP for support, or contact us at contact@nova-neuro.com or 404-310-2383.
